The upcoming World of Warcraft expansion, The War Within, pushes Dragonflight into the rear-view mirror, and we’ve got all the latest on its release date and start time.

Thanks to The War Within, WoW expansions are heading into double digits—featuring the usual abundance of new story content, fresh abilities, and an increased level cap. It advances the story and takes us to a new region called Khaz Algar in the overarching land of Azeroth.

Dragonflight was a great addition, but we’re now looking ahead to The War Within, so read on to find out when you’ll get her hands on it.

World of Warcraft The War Within releases on Aug. 26, 2024, at 3pm PT / 5pm CT / 11pm BST (or Aug. 27 at 8am AEST), Blizzard has confirmed.

If you want a shorter wait, you can get early access to The War Within by purchasing the Epic Edition. WoW The War Within early access starts on Aug. 22. We expect early access to go live at the same time as the main release, so 3pm PT / 5pm CT / 11pm BST (or Aug. 23 at 8am AEST).
