How to get Tibault’s Will in Diablo 4

Claim this powerful Unique item.

Tibault’s Will is a Unique pair of pants in Diablo 4 that was improved in Patch 1.5.0 but kept its core affix of giving increased damage whenever you become Unstoppable.

For Diablo 4 classes like the Barbarian, where you can craft an entire build around the Unstoppable status effect, getting Tibault’s Will could dramatically improve your damage output. This item also rewards you with 50 of your Primary Resource, whether that be Mana, Spirit Essence, or whatever you use.

If you’re interested in these pants, here’s how to find Tibault’s Will in Diablo 4.

Where to get Tibault’s Will in Diablo 4

In Diablo 4, there are three ways to get Tibault’s Will. There’s a chance of getting it as a drop from World activities, or it can drop from the endgame bosses, Andariel and Duriel.

The first method is to grind World Events like Legions, Nightmare Dungeons, World Bosses, and Helltide Events or open chests in World Tier Four. Tibault’s Will, much like other Unique items, can randomly drop off almost any enemy or chest. So, you’ll want to farm locations like Nightmare Dungeons and Helltide Events where you have more opportunities to take on Elites and get better drops. (It’s not guaranteed you’ll get it, but it’s better.)

Tibault’s Will is a drop you have a chance of obtaining from the endgame bosses Duriel and Andariel. Getting to these bosses can be an extreme challenge, but Tibault’s Will is one of the All Classes drops you can get from these bosses, meaning any class can get these pants by defeating Duriel or Andariel.

By target farming these bosses, you’ll eventually get Tibault’s Will and many other incredible uniques, which is why this is my preferred method for obtaining Tibault’s Will.

How to summon and defeat Duriel in Diablo 4

To summon Duriel, you need to summon two of Diablo 4‘s other endgame bosses first by completing the following tasks:

Once you have all four items, travel to the Summoning Altar in the Gaping Crevasse dungeon to spawn and take on Duriel. To do any of this, you need to play Diablo 4 on World Tier Four difficulty.

To beat Duriel, you’ll definitely want to have plenty of Poison Resistance. For that, we recommend whatever Emeralds you have on hand; Flawless Emeralds are preferred. Other than his poison damage, Duriel isn’t too tricky. So as long as you can resist his decaying onslaught, you’ll be good to go! If he manages to kill you, it’s not the end of the world. You won’t have to resummon him, and you can jump right back into the fight after you’ve respawned.

How to summon and defeat Andariel in Diablo 4

To summon Andariel, you need two Sandscorched Shackles, which you get from defeating Lord Zir, and two Pincushioned Dolls, which you get for beating the Beast in Ice. Then, simply enter the Hanged Man’s Hall dungeon in World Tier Four in Kehjistan and summon him at the altar.

To defeat Andariel, avoid his core mechanics and attack when you have a chance. In his first mechanic, he summons three pillars, or effigies, that you need to spawn as soon as possible to prevent a giant blood, rotating blood wave that deals incredible damage from spawning. In his second mechanic, he summons small red balls that move around the map along with a line of fire. Dodge between the balls while avoiding the line of fire, all while dealing damage. His third mechanic combines the two; you simply have to survive. This section doesn’t last long. When it’s over, you’ll have defeated Andariel.

Tibault’s Will Stats in Diablo 4

In Patch 1.5.0, Bizzard updated Tibault’s Will, and it now has the following stats:

  • Increase to All Stats.
  • Increased maximum Life.
  • Increased damage reduction percentage while Unstoppable.
  • You deal increased damage while Unstoppable for five seconds after. When you’re Unstoppable, you’ll gain 50 of your Primary Resource.

Again, there’s no guarantee Tibault’s Will drops from World Events, but if you have incredible RNG this method is a great option. Defeating Andariel and Duriel is good too if you want to get other Rare, Legendary, Unique, and Mythic Unique loot.
