Esports World Cup Starcraft 2 format and players
The 16 Starcraft 2 players attending this year’s Esports World Cup have now been split into two groups of eight, where they’ll now play out a double-elimination GSL bracket. Each group’s winner will head directly to the final four, while the runners-up will head to a playoff match for the third spot in the final four.
All players eliminated in groups will head to a final single-elimination knockout with just one spot remaining to make up the final four. From there, only one can be crowned. Here’s a list of the players that are competing in Riyadh this week for Starcraft 2:
